Best Gloves For Wildlife Photography
Very, very interesting. Thank you. Do you have a video that explains the histogram in more detail?
How is that "follow focus" work when it gets cold and frost/ snow stick to it?
actually I like the cheap plastic video tripods you can buy at walmart because they are verry light. I have owned and broken many but i still like them .I can strap it to my rear bike rack to pedal out into the woods.
Great video, although despite what is considered necessary for "being a wildlife filmmaker", I'd say based upon our "content" we have had on all the big channels over the years (not as many as yours Doug) one doesn't need a 50K camera (but def great glass whether that's a microscope lens or a big zoom) to make the grade. I think sometimes we can get hung up about gear (I'm not saying that about you, I'm just saying it) but forget about all of the field craft/biology/research/camera crew/patience needed etc. etc because even with a million bucks worth of gear if none of those boxes are ticked then one is only going to capture "home movies" at best.
This is just great! So many great tips through out the video!
What a wonderful footage!! Felt like watching a high quality movie!
there has always been climate change, what do you think the Ice Age was? It's just a way for governments to distract us so we don't pay attention to their shenanigans
Froggy Doug makes an appearance - damn cold! Beautiful spots, great tips shared by both of you guys.
Great video and information thanks! ❤
Make part it's to long video 🙏
Dough, your back. Dang what an absolute megasurprice. I've missed this. Fantastic video.
Watched this video years ago...still great! Hope you come up with new videos one day. Shooting mirrorless yet? Would love to see you do another "treasure hunt" video. I think it was my all-time favorite!
It's great to see you using the gels. Fantastic idea that you came up for holding the gels.
Great video. Beautiful scenery and photography.
Thank you very much!
amazing work!!!!
Thanks for using your God given talents to show us the beautiful world we live in.
Wow, thank you
Great video! Can you provide contact information for the guide you used in Maine?
My guide was Mark Patterson of NorthWoods Outfitters :www.maineoutfitter.com/
Thank you for an other Fabulous Video Doug Gardner
You are very welcome
Great video filled with wonder and excitement.
Hope you enjoyed it!
Hi Doug I have the same Sigma lens paired with canon a c70. I’m looking at tripods and deciding between a sachtler activ8 and flotech 75 or a second hand video 20. Any thoughts on which would be smoother at 900mm?
Fabulous techniques demonstrated. Many thanks
You're very welcome!
Excellent video. Timing your shot as the whale came up must have been a challenge.
Another great video Doug. Thank you.
When will you be posting new content? Your old "Scavenger Hunt" video is my all-time favorite!
I’m adding a few new ones here and there.
Please keep posting videos like these! What camera would you recommend for this type of wildlife photography?
These are all just reposts....I wish he would post new videos. I've seen this at least a dozen times. But, at least it's good enough to watch over again.
First off, thank you for your continued support, its greatly appreciated. Yes I am in the process of reposting all of the older Wild Photo Adventure series per the requests of our viewers, BUT I am also starting to upload new video content as time permits. I have already uploaded many new videos that are not repeats. Please watch the following video which will explain our intentions moving forward. ruclips.net/video/zWYFCOcdOgc/видео.htmlsi=En2wVrnKj6ADUxYO
@@douggardner1 Thank you! I will.
Thanks for the info!
You bet!
Great video. What is the brand name for your gunstock mount and where can it be purchased?
Thanks, its a Novastock
Lovely, nice filming was it on the sigma 60-600 and fx6?
Thank you, I used a RED v-Raptor with Sigma 60-600mm, DJI I2 Drone and CamBush Cube Trap Camera.
That's cool, Doug! Finally a success story concerning "Climate Change". Thanks so much! Great videography as always!
More to come!
Just beautiful imagery and story telling as always. Thank you Doug.
Glad you enjoyed it
Your videos continue to fascinate me, definitely keep on filming
Thank you! Will do!
Wow just super story and footage! That last shot . . . .Boom!!! Congrats Doug.

Amazing
So pretty . I had a hard time understanding your camera settings for this bright day with the contrast . Would you mind sharing it? Thank you
Great video, very interesting to hear about your decision points for the various elements. One question, what do you use for capturing audio?
Good stuff! Been watching since your SCETV days. You have been a big inspiration for my photography!
The audio seems to cut out around 9 minutes but great video otherwise!
Thank you so very much for these really useful tips. I have subscribed today too. 🙂
Thanks for subbing!
My parents retired and relocated from Long Island, New York to the Eastern shores of Virginia about a 50 minute drive south from where you filmed this video. He and my mom passed away in the last few years, I made the trip to the Eastern shores several times a year for many years while they were alive and now I make the trip once a year to pay my respect as they are in the cemetery in Cape Charles . During my trip down I spent some time at the National wildlife refuge to photograph the different birds and wildlife, this past year 2023, was the first time that I did not see any of the wild horses but the variety of birds was amazing, this year I plain on going some time in September, you really captured the spirit of the area well, just wonder if you stayed in the park or outside of the park while you filmed this video.
I love this channelllll!!!! My I ask how you get these shots so close to the ground? Are you spreading the Satchler legs to get the tripod close to the ground? Or do you use something like a saddlebag? I love my saddlebag on the ground but I cant get any shots with motion=/ Thank you so much for sharing all these amazing tips! Must have taken years to master!
Yes I either spread the tripod legs out wide and low or use "baby legs" to get ground level. Sand bags do not work for video! you either need to be on a tripod or gimbal for smooth movement.
@@douggardner1 Thank you!
Great stuff Doug with some superb tips for video, we kind of do it without thinking but I’ve certainly picked up some more tips for video, as mainly a stills shooter it’s been a great reminder for me. Thanks very much, been following you for as long as I can remember but have been out of touch with your work for a while so I’m sure I’ll catchup. Cheers Rich 👍
Thank you
Wonderful and very helpful video, Doug. Thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
